James had borrowed a conference room from a business associate who had an office on the outskirts of the city. Gioni had enlisted Claire into a meeting with James.

He had worked through the requisite casual conversations and then explained the idea for a music festival as an awareness event and fund-raiser for the Miami Humanitarian Housing agency.

“That’s the gist of the idea,” James said, wrapping things up. “A 36 hour music festival on the beach… Sort of a chill vibe… Lots of food and drink vendors… popcorn… candy cotton… The people at Humanitarian Housing asked that it lean towards family-friendly, since that’s the heart of what they do…”

Claire nodded and finished his thought. “Housing for families who just need a little boost.”

James nodded. “Right. I hope we can raise some money, but the awareness angle is probably more important.”

Claire looked out the window for a moment, then took a deep breath and said. “So I handle all the concert details… stage… lighting… sound… and my bands get to perform at some of the prime times…”

James nodded. “Of course… I’ve secured a commitment from Justin Mendes. I’m angling for another… Older artist… former boy-band legend who’s looking to use his celebrity to do some good these days… I don’t want to say who, just now. You should schedule your bands before, between, and after them.”

Claire smiled. “That sounds great. I can network with other managers and fill in the schedule. We start at noon on Friday and go through midnight Saturday?”

James nodded. “That’s the plan. So… just to get it out and said… You’re in on this?”

Claire smiled and laughed a little. “I’d be crazy to say ‘no.’ I’m… thrilled to be part of this!”
