This tragedy highlights what terrifies me about our idol airport situations coming home to Korea. The crowding has long been an issue. So many precious people lost their lives on this night but it seems no lesson was learned. And no, I don’t believe any life is more valuable than the next. But I don’t want to see another tragedy for anyone, and the idols, especially the boy groups (they seem to give just slightly more room to the girl groups), are constantly in danger from this situation. As well as the fans there to see them! If I was an idol, I’d have anxiety every time I came home from this. The same sort of situation also just happened in New York with Enhypen. Thankfully the barricade fell, or some of those front row fans might have had serious injuries from people pushing forward from the back just for a picture. I know most Engene are upset the barricade gave and almost hit the members, but I would rather have a small injury to the possibility of something much bigger. The bigger happens when there is no give of movement to release the dam so to speak. I just want people to learn that a blurry picture is not more important than life 😢. And I was definitely thinking of all the families and friends this last Halloween. This holiday will forever be a reminder to so many hurting people.
