Now that we’ve got Hinata’s nerves out of the way, we can see how the team starts to work. And it’s good to see an outside perspective on the team. —— And yeah Shimizu, the manager, is a 3rd year (senior) student so she’s 17 😬 —— Some random facts that might help: A set is won with 25 pts and they deuce if they tie. There’s 3 sets to a match best of 3 wins. There’s 50+ teams in their prefecture (Miyagi) and Aoba Johsai is top 4. Karasuno, before this team, is apparently somewhere in the middle. The winner of the prefectural tournaments go to nationals and compete with other prefectures in Tokyo. Karasuno has been to nationals once 3-4 years ago. It was the match that Hinata saw on tv when he was younger in the very first episode that made him want to play volleyball. We often get flashbacks of that match with Hinata’s idol: the Little Giant which, despite his short height, was the ace during the match. That’s why Hinata wants to be the ace. They also previously mentioned that the match is also why Daichi (the captain) decided to join Karasuno . And why they’re called the flightless crows or the fallen champions. —— Love the small banter (the teams and yours). You can also watch the intro and kind of make your guesses about what (or who) you see. I can’t wait till you meet Oikawa (Aoba Johsai’s main setter) properly.
