Yes!!!😍 I have a weak spot for traditional korean music. It sounds so beautiful and even if I can’t understand the lyrics I can feel the emotion. So the music in the beginning of the episode was wonderful! ————————————————————————————— The thing that Lee Yeon passed on to Ah-eum is called a fox bead. Non of the lookalikes that he met through out time bore the fox bead, they were just people with the same face. It’s doesn’t work like a tracker it’s just that he searches for people that look like Ah-eum and then checks if they have the bead or not. This is the glowy hand thing he did in the first episode to the younger Ji-ah and in this episode as well. In the lore a fox bead is a small bead containing energy and knowledge and a Gumiho can transfer it through a deep kiss. They do this to absorb the human’s energy and soul thus taking their life (I don’t think that was the purpose in this drama tho). BUT if the human ends up swallowing the bead, on accident or on purpose, before the gumiho removes it they are granted great knowledge, by observing the sky, land and people (the knowledge they get depends on what they observe). In most stories those who end up swallowing the bead forgets to observe the sky. Some sources also states that the human gains power from the bead but it doesn’t really specify what the power entails. I also read somewhere that if the fox bead is swallowed by a human the fox ends up dying but I'm not sure if this varies between the different versions. ————————————————————————————— Hearing that the Bulgasari feeds on nightmares explains why he wanted to buy her dream in the elevator. But he only said it after Ji-ah mentioned that dreaming about loosing you teeth could also mean fortune (I interpret it as good luck and not wealth) and not just a bad omen. He told the lie about wanting to buy a lottery ticket (good fortune = winning the lottery) cause otherwise it would sound pretty weird if someone wanted to buy your nightmare. Fun Fact: Buying and selling dreams is actually a thing (I think mostly in Korea) and those that do, believe that good dreams bring good energy and that the energy is transferred to the buyer with the transaction. The actor that played the Bulgasari (the creature that feeds on nightmares and ate the coins) is Son Woohyun, the guy mentioned in last episode’s comments. Didn’t seem like you remembered his face but that’s understandable since you’ve only seen him once (the game caterers). It’s weird seeing him and Kim Kang-min (the female lead’s coworker) on screen together again after watching To My star😂 Their kissing scenes are 😏 ————————————————————————————— The brothers relationship is very complex so what we found out this episode is just an simplified explanation as to what happened between them, the tip of the iceberg if you will. We will dive deeper as the episodes go on and you’ll understand how they ended up here. ————————————————————————————— Lee Dong-wook’s acting is so good and this character is so funny at times. It’s pretty obvious that he has lived for many centuries and has no more fucks to give😂 ————————————————————————————— HERE WE GOOO!!! It’s gonna be a wild ride from here on out. There is so much I want to say but can’t😂 I feel like I say this every time you start a new drama but buckle up! Can’t wait until next week😍

Have you guys watched Anne with an E? I think that series would be nice to watch with your significant others, even if you don't react to it on here!

I'm down to watch Pretty Little Liars with you David! Its a crazy show.

Firstly, David were you team Stefan? Cuz so was I. It's not that I disliked Delena but I preferred Stelena haha. I like how you mentioned TVD. It makes me nostalgic cuz I was such a sucker for TVD back in high school. Have you watched it all David? Have you watched it too Kevin? --- Secondly, watching this second episode I feel I have changed a lot over the last 2-3 years lol. Because I started watching this show in 2021 and stopped after some 4-5 episodes lol. And this year I really wanted to watch season 2 but couldn't start since I didn't watch S1 but couldn't go back to it lol. Hence I was glad you guys started it because finally, I could finish it with you guys. But now suddenly I feel so hooked and want to go ahead and watch the rest of the episodes by myself. Also, I have forgotten 80% of whatever happened in those 4-5 eps I watched so it's almost as though I am watching it for the first time hehe. --- Also, guys that circular ball thing Dongwook put into the girl is called a fox bead/marble. Usually, Gumihos have it. --- Also, I just looked it up and it seems bi-weekly can mean both once in 2 weeks and twice a week!!! Like whaaat? I just knew about once in 2 weeks because I had meetings that happen every 2 weeks and they were called Bi-weekly meetings. But apparently both workkkk?

2023-09-16 13:22:21 One thing I love about this drama is that it’s super interesting and entertaining, there haven’t been any dull moments so far. I can tell you’re very engaged and interested in it and having fun watching! Especially with the very heavy fantasy element and the fact that you don’t know most of these Korean myths that are referenced it’s important that you pay a lot of attention so I’m glad to see you’re keeping up just fine imo. Of course you’re confused sometimes but I’d say so far most of the times it’s intended like that and you will always get answers later but it’s funny whenever you’re wondering whether you’re supposed to be confused or whether you missed something haha. I don’t think there’s been anything that you missed really, other than that the thing he gave her (Bluetooth connection as you call it 😂) is the fox bead. But of course if you did miss something we’ll be able to help right away, can’t wait for you to see more episodes <3

I watched the whole thing and it's definitely enjoyable but also keep in mind it's one of those "teenage girl" shows haha

I have never seen this drama before, but I just finished catching up with you guys, and my god, I love it so much already. Also, 100% down for Pretty Little Liars David, you would like it a lot.

another fun episode, it was a good idea to watch this with you guys because i can go through the comments to clear my doubts as well. everything is so confusing when watching the first time, so many things are going on. The age difference in such stories is kind of weird however if the girl is older means they will have a shorter time together since the girl is a mortal. In love stories between a immortal like a goblin or Gumiho, the girl falls in love at a young age so that they can stay together for a longer time, its bittersweet. Lee Yeon is looking for her for hundreds of years and he meets people with the same face in different places and time period. Its not limited to Korea i guess, because they have shown her in French/British setting in one scene, I am not sure if you have watched Doctor Who, there also the love story of the doctor and river song is bittersweet. They meet each other in random timelines so they have a non linear love story. I also think she is the reincarnation of Ah eum and the fox bead is blocked for some reason so he cannot recognise her. I am curious to find out the relationship between the brothers. David, I was team Stefan from vampire diaries.

Hey, I'm also not sure whether it's limited to Korea or not but the French/British setting you mentioned was probably just meant to be 20th century Korea
