Newlyn and Neoma emerge from the purified morph pool a little worse for wear, but with their morph undiminished at the cost of a set of bracelets. As they compose themselves, they hear a voice call out. "About time you two got out of the kiddie pool."

In front of them is a small imp, no more than 3 feet tall, with an assortment of bottles hung all about her. A small red wagon stands behind her, with wares displayed on the side. "Names Lena. I gotta thank you two! If you hadn't heroically went and acted as target practice for that jerk Obstella, I would have never escaped. You'd think that creatures who hunger for a soul of their own would welcome a soul merchant like me, but no. They're all just a step up from feral, I tell ya."

Lena takes a moment to calm herself. She perks up and points to the two morphlings "But you're different, aint'cha? You've got an eye for great souls when you see them. Right? Souls can improve your weapons, fight alongside you if you find them a vessel, or even improve yourselves - if you don't mind sharing your body."

The two morphlings exchange glances, and take out the 50 morph they have. Lena's face sours.

"Sorry, Morphlings, I can't give credit! Come back when you're a little – mmmm – richer."

Despite their loss at the hands of the Sun Taker, someone was able to benefit from the situation. Silver linings. But it seems the Imp Merchant Lena is not as generous as she probably should be.

What should the morphlings do?

  • Demand Lena be more "grateful and generous." Especially to the people who sacrificed themselves to help her escape.
  • Attempt Obstella again and get more morph from her.
  • Tell Lena they will work on getting more money and come back. Leave to explore the Eventide Channel.
  • Kill Lena. Go kill Obstella.
  • Kill Lena. Go explore the Eventide Channel.

Voting ends 11:59 PM PST on the 13th. That's a day an a half.

Want to thank Hugo for letting me use his OC Lena and for the great art he made for this. Go check out his patreon and twitter.
