Hey guys! I'm thinking of adding a new reward to the tiers by offering regular SPEED PAINTING videos. Here I redraw a Starbarians still frame for a top-secret project.

Awesome job! I really like the personality you added to Hogstrong, it made his character feel more alive. One thing I'd like to see, given that you're up for it and other people are interested as well, is a video going over how you put together the final edit of your cartoons in Premiere Pro. Animation Post Production is something that's usually overlooked, and after seeing that picture you posted on twitter with all your custom sound effects for Starbarians 3, I'm really curious as to how that whole process works. Just a suggestion though, keep up the great work!

Great work as always Harry! Any chance we can get the new image to download?

Oh my god, Harry, are you planning on making a Starbarians video game?!

That was really enjoyable and fun to watch Harry, I would love to see more of these kind of videos in the future! Would you be willing to post some more speedpaints, perhaps of your commission work (given the completed piece has already been posted to your Twitter and the customer gave consent)? These videos are always a joy for me to watch personally and I love to see/hear your design process behind the magic! Either way, wonderfully entertaining!

This was nice. Informative, too. What can I say? You have the eye for detail and passion for getting it right that the old hand-drawn animators had, and I love it. You sir, are awesome. I'd love to see more videos along this line.

Thanks, Zachary! Yeah, I'll probably do another speed paint video soon based on an upcoming commission :)

That is definitely something I'll consider. I have so many ideas for behind the scenes content but that wasn't one I'd considered. Thanks, LB :)

Thanks, Mat. Let me think. I may need to format it differently and make it better suited to being a desktop wallpaper or something actually useful. Will try to offer images in the future, for sure!

Limitless

that was interesting to watch, thanks Harry!

Love seeing how you work as usual Harry; I really enjoy how you’ve pushed their emotions to reflect their personalities more! I think it’s super interesting how you jump from program to program, and if it makes you feel any better one of my teachers went through about 8 different programs for some of his pieces...! :D looking forward to more from you again!

harrypartridge

Thank you, Jade :) I'm officially starting on the next cartoon tomorrow, so lots more behind the scenes stuff to follow soon.

That's awesome :) I could honestly just listen to you talk about animation all day haha :)

Max

thank you for bringing the fact to my attention that there is a soundtrack... also good to see how you do your drawing. Also a thing I wanted to see (without spending too much time right now, but i would like a long one too) even though i'm too clumsy for this type of artwork^^. I'm really glad that i joined this Patreon community!

If you ever have some free time I would love to see how you work shading, it is one area in my drawing that I still never really got good at.In other news, Loving the madness to your methods and hope life is going good man ^^

harrypartridge

Hmm, maybe I'll do a behind the scenes shading/how-to video for patrons in the future. Thanks, Shane!

I will say thanks to my Partner I have grown to appreciate Speed-painting and I got a decent eye for art, but she mostly uses me for perspective though she prefers me to be a critic. Long and short of that boils down too, I say keep these up, even if you make a separate channel for these because people love the end product but I am certain there are just as many impressed with the process.

harrypartridge

Definitely. I plan to do another one this week that shows the rough process as well. Thanks a ton, Brian :)
