"Superman & Lois" is not part of the established "Arrowverse", it is its own thing in its own alternate universe. So its not connected to Arrow, Flash, Supergirl or any of the other CW DC Superhero shows.

Hey guys, first off i´m so glad that you liked the pilot episode. As i mentioned briefly in a DM to JRabbit i think that this is one of the best written shows i have seen in years. Much like you guys i was very nervous going into this, bc it could have been cheesy and campy as f. But the characters seem very believable, no matter if it´s the adults or the kids. The ony campy thing is the "no one recognizes Clark Kent with glasses" thing, but that is just something that the Superman creators came up with back in the day. So just roll with it. I am very biased when it comes to Clark Kent, bc when i think of him i first and foremost see Tom Welling who portrayed him for 10 years on Smallville. Sidenote: Of course i´ve seen "The Adventures of Lois and Clark" back in the 90s just like Christopher Reeves Superman and also loved it. But this one right here knocked it out of the park imo. Tyler Hoechlin (pronounced Heck-Lynn) and Elizabeth Tulloch are soooo good as Clark and Lois. And so are their kids who seem like legit siblings. Speaking of that i found it very bold to bring teenage sons into the mix. bc we never had that before in live action. The kids are named after Clarks fathers. "Jon" after Jonathan Kent and "Jordan" after Jor-El his biological father. Just like you i loved the pacing of the episode. bc we don´t need to see another Superman origin story. There was a nice nod to the first ever appearance of Superman in the comics when Clark catches the green car at the beginning of the episode. Just look up "Action Comics No. 1" and you know what i mean. When it comes to the quality of the show it was first to be believed due to a colab between HBO and the CW but the showrunner had this to say: "Whenever you do any of these shows, you want to make them slightly different. We just approached this as much as we could like a feature — from the aspect ratio to the cinematography, to the look, to the design of the house and farm. We are competing with shows on cable and streamers. [We] wanted to be able to do that and offer audiences something of equal quality." So there you go. And you don´t have to worry about the quality of the show dropping after the pilot - visually or otherwise, - bc from what i have seen it still holds up. Sorry for the lenghty comment and i hope you enjoy the rest of the show, wether i (gladly) have to sponsor it or it got voted in by now (fingers crossed) Love you guys
