Fun fact: The reason for Donald Glover cameo here was because he started out as a writer on the show before going to Community.

I loved this reaction This show is really funny but I love Fey's work. I was in high school when Mean Girls came out and everyone was obsessed with that movie and the same writing quality is here as well =D I really like Tracy in this episode especially when he says things like, "I did a whole movie where I didn't get out of a car" "Yeah, that's was supposed to be a western. I paid to see that." Just how funny it would be to have a desert background and horses and cowboys and a random car being there is such a funny image. I like how Liz learns that she and Tracy have to meet at some middle point. There's a song in this puppet-musical Avenue Q that says, "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist" and so that actually acknowledging Lemon's white guilt was interesting to me. However, you might question who filled out a crossword with smiley faces. Looking forward to seeing more =D Along with The Office ,these 30 Rock reactions are my favorite (but there's one show that might make me more excited than the two of those) Thanks again!

I agree that the writing on this show is off the charts. There's a lot of great self referential NBC stuff coming up down the line. It doesn't hurt that the creator is a former head writer for SNL (Tina Fey) and the writers room includes "up and coming" young voices like Donald Glover. Fun fact: The N-B-C chimes that appear with the Peacock in promotions are actually the notes G-E-C for long time network owners General Electric Company. Thank you mid 90s NBC tour at 30 Rock. I've never forgotten that. I also appreciate that this show is willing to subvert stereotypes and lean in on some of the characters less desirable traits while keeping them oddly relatable. Of course Tracy can read. And of course, given his entitled movie star world view, he will let you think he can't to take advantage of it. And, yes, Liz can be pretty racist in a very specific, liberal, upper west side way that can be well meaning but incredibly off the mark and lacking in self awareness. A lot can be said (and I'm sure has been said) about the art of humor regarding race, using this show as an example, involving things like "punching up" and "the funny" and how those things can push and/or cross certain lines in comedy. But I'm a middle class white lady, so I'll leave that for the Tracy Morgans and Donald Glovers of the world to explore. Anyway, great reaction and looking forward to more!

I'm so glad you're enjoying this show so much. I sure did when it was on. Good as this episode was, for me it's the next two that really take off into the stratosphere and show us how truly crazy the world of this show is. Donald Glover was a writer on the show for a season, and made a half dozen appearances in various roles, all of the "blink and you'll miss it" variety.

episode 7 is one of my favorites of the season ;)

I believe there should be a Muffin Top bit by Jenna Maroney at the end of the episode. Or is it another episode? But I believe it is THIS episode. I can't believe they cut it out. It is actually funny. The whole Muffin Top bit by Jenna Maroney is on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb6vhYaG5FQ

They actually cut out a lot (like ten minutes which are left in on the Hulu version) 1. Jenna asks Pete to perform muffin top, she says it’s on the top charts in Israel 2. After Liz let’s Jenna know frank and 2for are messing with her she tries to get back at them by saying she wants to have sex on the roof. At the end when jack is about to watch the clip of him again he sees frank naked and tapping on the window 3. When Jenna goes to 2for he shoots her down by saying exactly what she’s doing 4. Jenna performs muffin top but Pete asks Liz if they are filming and they are not All of these are in the Hulu release but I’m not sure why they were cut from peacock or Netflix or whatever streaming site RTR watches on. I can’t think of any inclusions on this version.

5. Also the rapper that accompanies Jenna mentions something in the end about Where The Hell is His Limo and Peace In The Middle East 😅
