Another fantastic reaction =D I think this is my favorite of the holiday episodes (my second favorite is in the last season but they're all so much better than season 1) Christmas is my favorite time of the year but this didn't seem too Christmas for people who don't celebrate. Some interesting things with this episode are that neither of the waitresses that Michael brings back to the office are Cindy who was the waitress he invited to join them. So, there were actually at least three different waitresses. Another thing is that the song Creed sang is one of his own songs. Creed performed in Berkeley (CA (my alma mata)) in September and I didn't go but he's touring the whole US next year =D It'd be awesome to see him though. And nah I don't think it's Jan, it's very very obviously Toby ;) Great reaction again. Glad you guys liked it Creed's song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG17BWveuTM

My favorite part of the episode was Angela singing The Little Drummer Boy with Dwight accompanying her on the karaoke. Angela Kinsey in real life has a stage fright. And Rainn Wilson as Dwight really helped her overcome her fear of singing in public. She meant that a lot for reals. Remembering way back to the Pilot episode where Dwight sang Little Drummer Boy while at his desk, making funny sounds. And also fun fact, Little Drummer Boy is Angela Martin's favorite song of all time. Great reaction as always.

You were wondering why Ryan is still with Kelly which I found quite funny because there was actually a deleted scene where she said she wouldn't tolerate him being mean and inconsiderate anymore Ryan responded by trying to break up with her but then Kelly started to apologise and said he wasn't mean he was adorable, it picks up later outside in the dumpster where Kelly is digging through the trash trying to find the gift for Ryan which she had thrown away in anger earlier whilst Ryan is standing outside the dumpster complaining about the cold, Kelly ends up breaking down crying at which point Ryan tries to break up again but Kelly refuses shouting that she doesn't want to be dumped while in a dumpster. It was a pretty good run of scenes in my opinion it was a shame they got cut and it seems that Kelly just refuses to be broken up with which explains why Ryan can't seem to untangle himself from her.

A few fun facts: they actually filmed at a real Benihana in Encino California hiring the chefs and waitresses as actors whilst using extras to play the various customers, the joke at the beginning "I've got two tickets to paradise baby" ended up costing the show $60,000 because they had to obtain the rights to the song, Finally John Mayer originally declined to give the show permission to use his song Your Body Is a Wonderland because he suspected it was going to be made fun of. However, after discussing the matter with B.J. Novak, Mayer reconsidered and granted permission on the condition that he receive a Dundie. His Dundie is for "Tallest Music Dude". Looking forward to the next time.

A key relationship I feel often gets overlooked is that between Michael and Jim. The original British office sets up similar parallels between Tim and David, but it’s a lot more…. depressing. Here, it’s like they’re both emotionally immature in a similar enough way that they are the only ones in the office who understand each other. I think that’s why they have a tendency to confide in one another.
