So fun behinds the scenes bit regarding the opening with Jim popping Dwight's ball - it wasn't supposed to explode under him like that. In fact, they apparently bought a handful of those exercise balls and every other time it worked as expected - the ball slowly leaked air and they had shots of Dwight just slowly descending out of view. But they had one more ball and decided they might as well use it. That final take the scissors hit a seam on the ball and the ball completely split apart and dropped Dwight hard onto the ground. The reaction you see is the crew's real shocked reaction - if you slow it down you can see Jim jumping out of the scene because he's shocked but also laughing hysterically. Naturally, that was the shot they decided to use.
