Sorry you didn't like/get it. They split the book into two films, the book bounces back and forth between the two time periods. Appreciate giving it a chance though.

Yeah that's what we saw on the reviews we watched after that if you didn't read the book, you probably wouldn't get the same impact or fully understand. I absolutely loved the 1st Chapter, I just think there wasn't enough explained for me in Chapter 2. I am intrigued now though to go and ready the book and then rewatch based on a few of the reviews we watched for those who did read the book,. Definitely different takeaways for those that read it! And no worries, I still enjoyed it - just wish I had more context so it flowed better :)

There's a lot that doesn't get explained about Pennywise, he;s from another planet that settled in Derry, He feeds on peoples fear, so children are easy to prey on. He's a pretty interesting character. I think They tried hard in the movie to fit in everything from the book, but the book is so long, its a think more than a thousand pages. i genuinely, liked the movie, because of Pennywise. I am mad, about the ending, hes kind of like Freddy Kruger with the believe in fear thing, but it feels like they gave up at the end. The spider does look better than the original film...so theres that.

the whole history on Pennywise, is interesting. Hes billion of years old, hes from a place called Deadlights, he settled in Derry before it was Derry and waited till humans came, hes a clown because more children are afraid of clowns. Theres so many videos about it, theres so much more to it, than they could explain. So for this long thing, I really love Pennywise.
