Hey Guys! 

So we just wanted to get some feedback and since we're relative new at this, your thoughts and feedback will help a lot! We just saw the feature which allows us to view exit polls. One of the main reasons Patrons have exited, even before being billed, was because they couldn't gain access to video right away. Our account is set up so the payments come out on the 1st of each month. So if you pledged now for example, you wouldn't be billed until the 1st of October, and so would gain access on the 1st instead of the day you pledged. Based on reviews and things we watched before setting up our Patron, this was suggested as the better way because people would get frustrated if they pledged say on the 22nd of September, they would be billed that day and then again on the 1st of October right away. 


We're just curious as to what your preference is so if the majority prefers the alternative set up, we can make that change :D

Definitely prefer to be billed right away knowing I just pledged but can’t access the videos is very disappointing

Lol 😂I typed the same message yesterday and thought You guys might be aware of the situation, it's like I'm psychic. Guys In My Opinion It's better to charge the same day and give them access the same day that way people are not waiting to see the videos, I believe thats what the other creators do.

I agree plus sometimes it might be that sweet spot between paydays and it’s close to the first but just missing it and now you gotta wait a whole another month. I think some pledgers started out that way but have had more success being flexible. Of course I have loved you longer so of course I came back that achingly long month I missed the deadline.

Thanks guys! We're waiting to see if anyone else weighs in but looking like we'll change it for next month. We just saw so many people complaining when they would pledge towards the end of the month because they would be billed then and then right again on the 1st. So wanted to make sure it would be what you wanted!

Definitely agree it's better to bill right away. I signed up for your Patreon at the start of a month without realising I had to wait, waiting nearly 4 weeks instead of being able to pay right away for access was torture :P Definitely a small downside that you can be billed twice if you pledge at the end of a month, but I feel like that's a "buyer beware" sort of thing. It's a shame Patreon doesn't let its users enable both so individuals can choose if they want to sign up instantly and be charged, or sign up for the next month.

I like that you guys even bother to ask your patrons about this. Shows you care about keeping the patrons happy and that is not true of everyone. Thanks for keeping it up front!

Thanks so much for weighing in. We'll be changing the billing after the 1st. Since we already told everyone that they'll be billed then- we don't want to change it midway through. I agree Patreon should create options on the side of the users!

Thanks Etta! We'll be changing the billing to bill those pledged, to bill immediately so they can gain access right away instead of having to wait. We'll change that after the 1st though so everyone already pledged is billed then. Thanks again!
