Some fun facts about the Fisher King. He is actually played by 3 actors; his physical appearance is portrayed by the (then) tallest man in Europe. His speaking voice is the same person who was the voice of Darth Maul in Star Wars - The Phantom Menace, and his roar is courtesy of Corey Taylor of Slipknot. Corey is whovian, and was getting a tour of the set when they asked if he wanted to record some roars for one of the villains. I must say, visually he's probably one of the most impressive practical monsters they've had on the show. He's super scary looking. I forgot to mention last time, the reason for the Sonic Sunglasses (aside from him giving his sonic screwdriver to young Davros) is that Capaldi didn't like how much the merch costs, and felt that kids from poorer families were at a disadvantage when they wanted to dress up and play as the Doctor, so he convinced Moffat to write those in. It's also the reason why you'll gradually notice the Doctor's clothes devolving. He starts to wear more casual clothing like a black hoodie, things that most people would already have at home, or could get cheaply. Peter Capaldi instantly got extra brownie points from me when I found that out. He's such a sweetheart, and so caring and kind. Oh, and another note on the guitar playing, Capaldi actually plays the theme tune over the opening credits in this episode, just as a one off. It's pretty cool to hear it on an electric guitar like that. great reaction, looking forward to the next one.

I thought this was a good episode. Again, I liked O'Donnell, I really liked how big a fan of the Doctor she was and how excited she got. Wish she didn't die, but that's what the show does, introduce you to characters you like and then kill them. Like Osgood, don't have the Doctor imply he likes you, cause that's seem to be pretty dangerous if your not his companion. I will say I liked all the characters in this episode, the love story with Cass and Lunn, also Bennett with how much he cared about O'Donnell and his calling out of the Doctor, as well as his advice to Cass and Lunn. The Fisher King looked and sounded great and threatening. I like to continue to see how much the Doctor and Clara care about each other and I liked the kind of complicated, I think I understood it, maybe, bootstrap paradox. I've never thought about it before but the Doctor really does have similarities to House. House is a favorite show of mine, but I do have some...mixed feelings about the final season. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
