hi everyone, i hope you're all doing okay.

as you might have seen on the youtube community page, there's no video this week- just feeling the need for a little break, and wary of forcing content when im not feeling my best.

this week i worked on an additional page for everyday gloom, one that comes directly after one of the ones i showed you on sunday- pasted them both below.  reflecting on certain periods of my life/childhood always makes me feel a bit nervous, so it took a lot longer to pull together than some of the pages from the weekend. always slightly shocked and appalled that one page can take me as long as four or five on a different day. truly an rip moment. still not sure it feels completely right, but i've left it for now.

apart from that, i got the email today to let me know that the physical summer sticker sheets (for those in the uk) have finished production, so they should arrive with me over the weekend, with a bit of luck! excited to see them.

today i've been thinking a lot about my notebooks, and about my relationship with them, especially in the summer. i've been trying to clear my head/straighten my thoughts, so i made a reflective spread sheet with some of the notes i have about different recent (and less recent) books. not sure if it's gotten me anywhere, but it does feel helpful to have written down. i'll attach some photos in case it's interesting or useful to anyone else!

i guess what i've done (sort of unintentionally) is identify the bits of my system that matter most to me- customisability, archive solutions, maintenance, timeframes, etc. would recommend if it's something you haven't done before! moving into the second half of the year im hoping to troubleshoot some of the existing issues and regain the peace i had previously, while also (hopefully) being more mindful of my habits.

apologies for the lack of video, but i hope you enjoy this small update nonetheless. wishing you all a lovely weekend, and for those in the uk, a restful bank holiday! 🌤️

take care and speak soon, friends x

i’m currently using tuzi.studio (on instagram) 6 ring binder ; she opens her shop monthly. it’s acrylic so if it does get dirty it’s a quick wipe, the binder itself lays flat because of the middle bit holding the rings is it’s own bit of acrylic. seems like it would hold a lot. i haven’t tested how much it would hold yet as i’ve just started using it recently but the rings are a decent size.

Just learned that May is National Wetlands Month in the states. Who knew?
