Dogs and Bunnies (Patreon)

on my last post I got a few requests for more Marnie & Snowball art, which reminded me to whip up a quick size reference. I’ve been accidentally drawing Marnie too big because for some reason I thought irl rabbits were bigger than they actually are. This fed into their relationship feeling kinda “off”, with them having no real obvious barrier to getting together beyond Marnie’s general nervousness. So I fixed it. They have a pretty drastic size difference, possibly the largest in the cast (bigger than the one between Dom and Tadeo, or Perry and Tibbs). Snowball is a giant bear of a dog that could probably palm Marnie’s head like a basketball if he wanted to (fortunately he does not). Marnie is a tiny, delicate, jumpy prey animal that must always be conscious of the fact she lives in a world with much larger animals that can potentially hurt her badly, even by accident.

Skye is there for scale, since she’s medium sized by the cast’s standards. A cute fact about her and Snowball is that they are both the youngest of the Pawberry pups (with Snow being born two minutes before Skye), and that they have the same middle name, either because Mama Strawberry thought it was cute, or because Saint was dead exhausted writing up the birth certificates
