This is where I think Jack gets more interesting as a character. Does he have any soul left? If not, how does it affect him as a nephilm? Will he start dieing again? Will he go evil? Or is there just enough to keep him alive and good? I didn't care for Michaelena, but Ruthie probably had little to no time to work on her imitation of Christian/Jensen. Noah, OTOH was a very interesting character and acted so well. I really liked his portrayal, even though he was evil. And I love that Jack got the kill.

I'm the same as you regarding John. I don't hate him like some others do. Not everyone does. Those who do are very vocal about how they feel and it can seem as if they're the majority. I personally think most fans are more neutral. They may not think he's a great guy, but they do appreciate what he's done and that he may have been a shitty father, but he did love his boys. Some have taken on the belief that he was a very physically and mentally abusive father. The showrunners in later seasons gave us a mixed bag regarding John. Some writers had nice bits in the script about him, some had shitty bits. For me, it's the lack of respecting canon that bothers me the most. Later seasons seem to like to retcon things and John is one of those things. About this episode - It's good, but I got bothered by nitpicking issues with how things were done. It made no sense that Sam and Cas didn't put the cuffs on Dean after he got knocked out. That seems like an obvious precaution. Things like that frustrate me and can affect how much I enjoy an episode becuase things don't make sense. Sometimes things are done in later seasons just out of convenience without even seeming to try to cross all the T's and dot all the I's.
