The "Your brother's in pain" always gets me

While I love the found family bond, it feels a little too glossed over for me. I know a lot of folks were happy to see Dean and Jack's improved relationship while others felt it detracted from Sam's connection and I felt both. Personally I wish we saw more of all 4 of them before this episode and less filler because the character beats got so watered down in the last few seasons. But wow, I do LOVE the exchange at the beginning with Sam bedside when Jack asks what happens next and how it will be an adventure - Jared's giving so much in so little of time on screen that it breaks my heart. Next, we all know Dean doesn't do grief and acceptance so him storming out made sense (if you recall he does it when Claire had the werewolf treatment) but I wish Cas had stayed in the room instead of following him to the hallway. I assume they needed him out of the room since he knows more about that 'adventure' not being awesome but at least we got to see his huge moment in heaven with the hug, biggest smile I think we have ever seen and the official "I love you" to his son. Kelly was such a nice bonus to add to the levity of the episode too, seeing her son grown and so protective as well as how much Cas loves Jack. Wish we saw more of it all but what we got was still beautiful there!
