The more often I rewatch, the more I notice - this time it jumped out that we got the backstory of David Yeager, who was a mechanic (like John Winchester) and was possessed by the judgemental father figure of the two Sam and Dean parallel characters. And it's a ghost story. For me it just rams home how much the destructive (metaphorical) ghost of John is still haunting the brothers this season - I'm going to watch out for when he's mentioned or suggested. It reminded me too that Matt Cohen's John is the only character to have played both Michael (s5) and Lucifer (s11).

Interesting fact: Both Genevieve Buechner(Samantha) & Kurt Ostlund(Stuart) were in previous episodes. Genevieve was Lily(the little girl who summoned Bloody Mary, causing her dad to get killed) in the season 1 episode "Bloody Mary", while Kurt was Billy(the guy who lost his soul & attacked the waitress, right in front of Sam) in the season 9 episode "Mother's Little Helper".
