Hey, all! Short schedule this month for the holiday. I’ll be out of town visiting my grandparents that last week. I tried to make the schedule as fair as possible.

**********************************************

Update: 12/2

I’m sorry to have to reschedule so soon, but I’ve had to leave town for a family matter unexpectedly. I rearranged the month a little. Sorry!!

You already posted 1x13 this month of AOS.

So exciting! I actually assumed it would be a much shorter schedule than this as December is often such a busy month so I’m so happy with all of this, thank you ☺️

My one issue with this schedule is i wish downtown Abby and fan con didn't take priority over AOS. Fan con especially since it is just bts stuff not a show. 1x16 and 1x17 really should be watched together. I would think if you had to shorten the schedule than those would be the ones getting cut but it always seems to be AOS. Out of the 4 months of doing AOS Half of them have been less then 4 ep a month. December will make it more than half. 3/5. I pledge for sup and AOS. So on one hand I love all the sup content. But on the other I feel AOS is getting the short end. Maybe a more balanced approach to where we aren't losing an episode of AOS each month by sacrificing a sup episode. We get way more than 4 (which I feel is the bare minimum for long shows like AOS and SUP) so that I feel is doable.

Shelley

Well AOS got 4 episodes last month while Downton only got 2. I’m not going to prioritize AOS just to make you happy, sorry. 3 episodes is completely fair considering I’m taking a whole weekend off.

AdoptDontShopPets

Everything in December has one less reaction except for Downton and Highlander (which has its normal 2), so the schedule seems fair to me.

It is not about the month. I am talking more as a whole. Whenever someone is doing long running shows like sup or AOS I always think about whether or not they will finish the series because the bare minimum of 4 a month still means 2 years just to get to 100 episodes which is where most shows are about to end. But if Shelley cuts the long running each month then that means it would take even longer which means a higher chance she would not finish the show. Which makes pledging for all the months before unsatisfying. ? . I am just telling you how I feel about it. Not trying to be an ass.

16 and 17 do not need to be watched together. They didn't air together, they're not a 2-parter. While they are in the same arc, nothing is being missed if one is watched one week and the other watched the next week. Shelley should not have to sacrifice holiday time/feel bad about scheduling to try to appease everyone, which would be a fruitless endeavor anyway, and I have no issue with how she's choosing to do things. And I'm speaking as someone who doesn't subscribe for Supernatural content. Besides which, all that cutting down on Supernatural episodes would do is extend the show, which is what it sounds like you don't want, so I fail to see how that's a problem. If you don't like how things are done, just unsubscribe. Getting bitchy about things is not going to help your cause.

BJ Stephens

That's fair, but in the end it's your choice whether or not to continue to sub,

Just voicing my opinion on the schedule. Not demanding she change things. We are paying for something here so I feel we should at least get a voice in some of the decision she makes even if she decides to do it her way.

Thanks for getting these schedules out so quickly each month - they really help to make everything clear. I feel so spoiled, honestly - I'm here for Merlin and Downton Abbey, started watching Our Flag Means Death because of your reactions and now love it (so will be continuing to watch it here), AND I sometimes watch the Supernatural reactions (whenever it's an episode I especially like). I'm also curious about some of the other shows, so might watch them too. Thanks for so much great content! And I don't think I mentioned it before, but thanks so much for putting the show footage in the video, so we don't have to get our own version and sync it up. It's so much easier for us this way, so I appreciate it a lot. Hope you have a good month :)

To be fair, we do - we get a say in what Shelley watches, via the polls and occasionally suggestions. That's what we're paying for, along with the reactions themselves, and we get it. And I believe people recommending Supernatural fan stuff was a big part of why Shelley decided to watch it, which is a clear sign of taking people's suggestions into account. And the thing about having a say is that everyone's say will be different, so it's very difficult to manage - if you do one thing, other people might say you're not listening to them, and same if you do something else. Shelley definitely reads what we have to say and it may well influence how she decides to do things, but ultimately there's no way of pleasing everyone. I get how you feel about longer-running shows, but them taking that long is common to many reaction channels, and if you consider it from another angle, it means we get to share the journey of that show with Shelley for longer! Besides, she's shown commitment to other shows, so unless something drastic happens, I expect AOS will go fine too. I don't know how long you've been here, but in my experience Shelley tries to keep things fair by differing which shows have to miss episodes, if any do. So it may be AOS this time, but something else on another month. (Also not trying to be an ass, just giving my perspective.)

Star. The original reason I commented was because this would be the third time out of 5 months that AOS was under 4 episodes. That's over half. That's why I felt it is getting the short end and commented about it. I don't think you were being an ass. I believe Shelley will try her hardest to finish these shows but I just felt like I had to say something about it after the third time. It's the only reason I am commenting about it. two reactors I have pledged to have stopped before finishing their shows because life which is understandable but it still feels like shit when you pledge month to month to see them finish and they don't. But I apologize if I was out of line. Shelley do what you want. I will keep my opinions to myself and just unpledged if I am not happy. (I am happy just to be clear)

I’ll say it again: They do not need to be watched together. If the show needed us to do so, it would’ve made them a package deal and aired them back to back, but it did not, nor is there a pressing reason to double up. Watching another episode is an extra hour-plus of time spent reacting, recording, and exporting. Watching them separately is absolutely, positively, 100% fine. We all did it lmao The world isn’t going to end if she *checks notes* waits a week.

Christopher simeon

Laurel. We aren't in the same situation as her. She knows more going into the show then we did when it aired. There is a good reason why I am suggesting she watch it together but I can't say it here. I have watched a lot of aos reactors and fans fail to do this and lose out on a different experience then we had but the ones that did all seemed to be glad they did. It definitely could not have been a two parted based on it's placement. Of course it is not necessary. It's a suggestion.

That’s your opinion, not a fact. You’re acting very entitled in all this. AOS isn’t the only show Shelley’s doing, nor I assume is it her most popular. She has no obligation to change and add things because you like one show better than another. AOS has 136 episodes, it’ll all balance out and she’ll get there when she gets there. Doubling down on saying she needs to do X, Y, or Z, that she’s doing scheduling wrong, that you want her to do things differently according to your priorities is only going to dampen her excitement about the show.

Christopher simeon

Laurel at what point am I demanding anything or being entitled here? At what point did I say she is doing the scheduling wrong? I am explaining why I feel 16 and 17 should be watched together or pointing out what I dislike about the schedule. What exactly am I stating is a fact? Is she not in a different situation viewing wise then we were? ALL OF THIS IS A OPINION.

Suzanne Hunt

Shelley, I am a new Patron (this is my 2nd month), I joined for Downton Abbey and AOS. I think having a schedule is great and I am glad we are getting more Downton Abbey this month! You are a wonderful reactor and I celebrate 🍾 you! Thanks!
