I love seeing the flashes of earlier seasons when Dean wasn't so weighed down so I wish we didn't miss the entire time skip from their 'summer of love' (dying to see the lead up to the Crowley & Dean cowboy hats pic) bromance. And I love his fight sequence with Cole paired with his usual banter and darker side of mockery because while he is technically a demon that is fighting a human - he is still having fun and smiling which we all know is a rarity with Dean. The line delivery of his question "Did you miss?" regarding Cole's failure of putting a bullet in Sammy's brain still makes me laugh even though I know it's not supposed to be a good thing. It's just so nice to see a looser side to Dean that we lost after seasons of trauma. Jensen and Jared's love of their characters and the show shine even when the writing/arcs are weaker. Their ability to convey so much in in subtle looks, movements in minimal shared screentime really sell this series and it's insane but I know you get that and other reactors do as well.
