Shashank

The writers have been putting Duncan through hell these past 3 episodes. At the start of this episode he finally seems happy picking up some groceries, then gets run over and has severe head trauma but doesn't die thus extending his suffering, only to be kidnapped and drugged, then framed for murder. Let the man breath already lol. We haven't had a scene of him happy and talking since the start of this run of 3 episodes when they were driving to the courthouse. If he'd died right away, I think he'd have healed quicker. But getting badly hurt and slowly dying actually made it last longer. Clever. I'm not sure the writers gave it so much thought, but I imagine having brain damage would make forming long term memories hard so the memories right after the brain damage and before it healed might not have formed properly explaining why he can't remember that stuff clearly (even before being drugged). This episode made me feel claustrophobic and stressed out. When Duncan finally calls Tessa I breathe a sigh of relief, until she tells him he's wanted for murder (he must have been like WTF this BS has to stop!!). The scene when they're getting the photo developed gave me lone gunman vibes from X-files. "Oh Barabara! Oh Barbara..." the line delivery was everything. Joe Pantoliano who played the mad doctor has been in so much stuff like you said, most iconically in the first Matrix movie playing a guy who really appreciated a good steak dinner. The attendant at the hospital has to be the friendliest most helpful attendant ever portrayed on TV. She was so happy to lend information to everybody without asking for ID or anything. Randi the reporter trying to tempt the doctor with being on CNN and 60 minutes was hilarious. She is a trooper. Duncan: stay here / Tesa: sure sure....then runs down helping/saving his ass. Like you said, I also really like how Duncan isn't always the one saving others, but is the one who needs saving sometimes like throughout this episode (even as he does his part too) Overall, I like the idea behind the episode, the execution was a little messy but campy fun.

Agree with Shashank. Lots of campy fun. When Duncan got hit with the chair near the end….that was absolute gold. Now part of Adrian Paul’s sizzle reel….not. 😂 Still love the characters.
