Oooofff! Dabb's first solo script...no wonder the characterization is all over the map along with the pacing. I think we saw at least 3-4 versions of Dean crammed in here so I am glad the calm, collected version of Sam took the trials on. Pretty sure Crowley was a stickler for integrity like last season where he destroyed the crossroad demon who messed with Becky and others but who can keep be expected to remember that? But so much gets lost after gaining what season 7 destroyed so it's still getting there.
