We know from Dark Hook that if you don't remember doing bad or remember your heart being darkened that its basically like it wasn't darkened. So That means no Neal...and No Henry. Rumple had no choice but to do what he did with Blue. Yes maybe if he hadn't tried to dose Gideon with the memory potion then MAYBE that wouldn't have happened but there was NO GURANTEE that he OR Belle would have been able to get through to Gideon with "just guidance". Look how much love Emma has always had from her parents since S2 and she's just Now starting to let that love soften her into a better person and not a closed off asshole. Ain't nobody got 4 seasons to try to reverse everything the black fairy has made him into. And by the time Gideon got the dagger "would have" and "should haves" are Out the window. Last I checked Rumple cant freely go back in time so he had to do Something that could save Gideon From That Point Forward. You're saying there was another way but what way??? It may have not been the Right choice but it was the only choice AT THAT POINT if we wanted any hope of being able to keep Gideon from getting to the point of no return, right now he's just angry the way David was last episode but if Gideon would have killed Mother Superior it would have been overr for him. Rumple literally said "once we stop him"(Gideon) so Rumple isn't all in with him killing Emma and aamof he already said in a previous episode that he doesn't want Gideon to kill Emma. Smh. It was so funny to watch you attempt to justify Bae killing that man (because it was Bae who did it) cuz I mean you were Really trying Lol and when you couldn't....just silence. Not surprising. But let that have been David or Snow you would have had soooooo much to say. if you think about it Rumple had two bad parents: Pan and the Black Fairy.... Because she was his mother too... so to me they are both up there sharing the number one spot for worst characters from this show.... nothing against the actor and actress but the characters they portrayed were terrible people and parents.... because I believe you can be a terrible person but a good parent and vice versa but to be both at the same time is what's terrible to me... and no wonder Rumple turned out the way he did he didnt have good role modles to guide him to being a good person... so of course he was cowardly and even more tempted towards the darkness and wrapped in it like an embrace for so long....
