Thoughts on Chapter 39: Auction (2) (Patreon)

That was a tough chapter to write.

Not sure if people are aware, but now Clover and Lock are on different paths.

Lock: Decided to take the hard path, try and treat people of MSS like REAL people

Clover: Take the easy way out, starting to see people's lives as COIN & how much use she can get out of it (I.E accepting Arione's offer)

I took this approach because I wanted to create a parallel juxtaposition between the two.

Lock who's NOT from this world, starting to become more and more of this world, trying his best to put worth in people's lives. His strongest influence are NON-players.

Clover who's originally FROM this world, starting to becoming more and more jaded, trying her best to survive and being forced to treat people like currency in the process. Her strongest influence are [Players].

As much as I enjoyed writing Clover's Character Arc & Progression, it pains me to see her take a path that will inevitably cause her pain down the road.
