Hope you had a good break for New Year's and Christmas.

I have started where I left off, preparing for release. This will be where I improve existing mechanics and make things feel more well rounded.

To start, I have implemented full world persistence.

This means that all items have been serialized into the save file so you can load up your play through session and keep everything you did before. In the older versions, the game only serialized your loli's and the player's positions because those were the only important game pieces and there wasn't much to do that required multiple play sessions. But now, going out with harvested materials may make things require several play sessions. Now, even half-mixed cooking ingredients will be saved and reloaded for next time.

Another improvement is now the loli checking for empty locations when dropping off stuff. This was necessary because she kept knocking over existing things on the table.

The image above shows purple crosses on zones that are empty and ready for dropping stuff off on.

I'm going to try to keep a more organized changelog for devposts in 2020. This is what they will now look like:

Changelog:

  • Loli now ignores an item if interrupted by a gesture (prevents going back to pickup if she sees item again)
  • Loli now scans for empty regions when dropping items
  • Player gestures now disabled during cooking so accidental gestures are prevented
  • Lanterns can now be toggled and left turned on

I may have time to implement one last tiny feature for this update. I will hopefully show it off next devpost. Also the last Beta pre release will be this Friday.

Stay tuned.
