I managed to finish the loli cooperation behaviors a bit earlier. And so I was able to start a little bit on the chickens.

To wrap up the cooperation behaviors, she can now properly give you her bag if you ask for it. Like so:

Also, left handed gestures are finally in meaning you can now gesture (wave, come here, give, etc.) with your left hand. I took too long to implement this and it was badly needed. Things feel far more natural now.

She also has better and faster item interactions. It's still a bit twitchy but it will smooth out as I tweak some built in values.

As for the chickens, they look really nice. I purchased them on the Unity Asset store. Again, it's something I do NOT like to do. In fact, I asked Troid to model me a chicken but he was too busy at the moment.

The first thing I need to complete for the chicken is being able to stand on the floor. I'm not quite done with this part yet but this is what I have so far:

Since the world has lots of bumps and uneven surfaces, the chicken will constantly sample points on the floor to build a virtual plane. This plane will represent the floor that it can see.

Then, I wrote a bit of logic for chickens running away from target transforms. Like so:

Chickens are going to be a sort of mini game and they will run away from you and your loli. The plan is have the chickens drop eggs if you catch them. You will be able to command the loli to help you catch a  chicken. She will help you by running after a chicken and positioning herself on the opposite side so you can both do a sort of pincer attack from both sides. This will be part of the Beta v0.7c release coming this Friday.

In other news, we have 2 very cool contributions coming from the community. Eidenz has been working on a website for the game. It's fully functional at the moment and includes pages for downloading prepackaged character models. It's very handy and makes modding the game much easier. Give it a try and give some feedback: https://viva-project.org/

The second contribution is in the very early stages but StillKill is working on a game launcher. It will be similar to that of Minecraft's launcher in that it will have a game version downloader. We plan to hook it up the Patreon API so everything is automated. It should make downloading Suppoter only or public release updates easier.

Lastly, we have 2 new songs coming in v0.7, a night theme and a day theme for when you are far from home. Attached is a WIP of the night theme.

I'll be working hard to release the chickens for Friday's Beta v0.7c. Oh also handholding has been re-enabled.

Stay tuned.
