Hope you had a nice Labor day break. I got plenty of work done on the customization and am now aiming to have the first Beta test this upcoming weekend for Supporter Tiers. That's right, my predictions for getting the code to a point where I can start putting the characters into cards was pretty close. First some new goodies:

The character shader was tweaked and improved. Old shader from v0.55:

The problem with it was that the shadows and lights were too strong on the skin. It wasn't toon enough and it kinda looked ugly. The solution was to keep this look but whenever the player is nearby, it will try to blend a more unlit anime look onto the model:

As for the skin and hair tweak tabs, both of them are now complete. The skin tab is interesting because it does not give you an RGB slider to set the skin color. I thought that it would be much faster and easier if it produced a color palette of potential colors that might fit your character. This was done by analyzing the model's texture and comparing for unique colors:

I did add BRIGHTNESS buttons just to be able to add that extra color tweak.

The hair bone tab was given a button for testing the movement of the character so you can visualize the movement of your character's hair. This was useful for also tweaking and looking at the result at the same time:

Getting really dang close to finishing this. I've already started writing the steganography extension to pack this entire character along with the user-tweaked settings into a PNG card. Super cool.
