ALOT of stuff has happened in the past few days. I am still amazed at how much spotlight this project has received. Twitter is now at 1000 followers and the Discord is now at 1,100 members! We also now have many new people who are contributing to this project.

We now have:

Jelly - Developer - 3D Modelling

Troid - Developer - 3D Modelling

 KempeiDidnothingwrong2 - Developer in Training - 3D Modelling

Calpico - Developer in Training - Sound Designer

They have recently helped me make many new upcoming models for various features. Troid is working on 2 types of glasses.

They will be included in the next upcoming Beta v0.5.5 as clothing cards. There are more models in the works but they will be kept under wraps until they are implemented!

Another big update is that we have upgraded from Unity 2018.1 to 2019.1. The transition was as smooth as butter and everything so far seems to work. There are tons of engine optimizations in this new Unity version that will significantly improve the game's experience, especially the VR side.

Speaking of. The last poll indicates that everyone still largely favors HTC Vive and the Index, with Oculus devices trailing behind. As a result, I will be purchasing a Quest since it will allow me to develop for all 3 Oculus devices (Rift, S, Quest). It was very difficult developing for a device I did not have until now (Rift). As for WMR, I am hoping that the newest Unity provides better input functionality for alternative VR devices. I won't be purchasing a WMR but I will try to provide something for it for the later v0.6 version. It is low priority since there are only like 9 people with one. I'll also be purchasing an Index. I wanted the price to drop but I guess Christmas is too far away...

And now for the sleeping behavior. In preparation of making Shinobu look sleepy, I rewrote her backend for how she looks at objects. Her vision and awareness is far more robust and allows for behavior overrides.

When the clock strikes midnight and all the lolis are supposed to go bed, she will yawn and start her tired behavior.

She will occasionally rub her eyes. This animation is also dynamic since the hand she uses to rub her eyes depends on which hand is free. She might be holding something after all.

These 2 animations come packed with new sounds that I have not used yet from the voice actress. When she is tired, your interactions with her will change. Poking has a reduced effect and she will just whimper. She will not become angry when tired. She's too tired for that.

Her vision awareness changes as well. She has a more "tired" approach when looking at things.

Headpatting her while tired is not yet fully completed but it will also be far less pronounced.

Don't mind the skirt. Cloth works differently in Unity 2019.1 and I have not yet fixed it. The next step will be to implement "Give me your hand" so you can handhold her to her bed.

The last major update is that we are moving away from the Shinobu label (legal reasons). This means Shinobu will not be the central focus of this project anymore. I will be writing a devpost tonight right after this to address why. Don't worry though, she isn't going away!

Oh and there is now a TODO list on the front page of the Patreon with the complete current feature schedule!
