It's certainly been a busy and fun two weeks. As you probably already noticed, I decided to release 3.0 about two weeks ago. The launch went about as I expected, it worked for most people, crashed for a few (due to Microsoft Edge WebView not existing on some revisions of Windows), and flat out broke on a few more. But since old versions of Wabbajack are still available, downgrading temporarily has been a fix for some.

Since launch I've shipped 8 versions, and fixed at least three dozen major bugs. And finally I think we're pretty close to a stable state. Most of the bugs in the past few versions relate to scaling issues in the code. For example an algorithm that works for 10 things may not work for 10 million things. If processing those 10 things takes half a second, no one cares. But at that same rate 10 million things would take 5 days to process, and that becomes a problem. So while Wabbajack is working great for small lists, a lot of my time in the past week or two I've spent fixing bugs in the larger lists where the UI would hang, or processing would take much longer than expected.

So what's next? Firstly I need to get Aldrnari compiling properly on 3.0, that list is so massive it's breaking several parts of Wabbajack 3.0, not a huge problem but it's taking me a day or two to debug. After that, I need to look into re-adding the "Use Slow Network" workaround for some of our users with strange ISPs that like to muck with Wabbajack. Once those things are fixed I think I can start adding some new features like automatic Creation Club content downloading.

Thank you so much for your understanding during this slightly rocky launch. Releasing new software to users is always a scary experience because as much as you can test, it's impossible to find all the weird configurations of windows, hardware, antivirus and other software people may have.

Once again, thanks for all the support and kind words, seeing people enjoying Wabbajack is always the encouragement I need to keep pushing the project forward.
