For some time now we've seen strange issues with Wabbajack's interaction with our CDN on some ISPs. What's been so hard to diagnose about this is that it seems specific to some parts of the world, some ISPs and other weird situations. After a bit of digging I was able to find some information that companies like Telekom (a well known EU ISP) may be mucking with the CloudFlare DNS records. Some people have found success by using a different DNS server, like Google's 8.8.8.8, while others use a VPN.

These issues can most often be seen in an error about SSL handshakes or connections being terminated mid-connection. So this week I sat down, thought it through and came up with a way to allow Wabbajack to bypass several layers of our CDN caching when requested. As seen in the attached image, the new version of Wabbajack: 2.4.4.2 now has a option for "Network Workaround Mode (slow)" as expected this mode is slower as it's less cached as some of the other modes, but it does bypass CloudFlare, and the DNS providers, going directly to our main storage server. You will most likely see better performance by leaving it off, but if you have had to use a VPN in the past, or change your DNS settings, just click that button, and continue using the app, it may reduce several of the errors you experience.

In addition to the above work I've been working on stability issues on the server, which are resolved now, and it's good to see the new file server humming along and verifying modlists.

Thanks again for your continued support!
