Well the day is finally approaching, I've built the new build server, gotten all the services configured, and the bulk of data transferred over. Turns out it takes a long time to configure and setup 16 drives, and copy over 2TB+ of data we've accumulated over the past year and a half.

This Wednesday afternoon (US time) I'll be cutting over to the new build server. We tend to have the least amount of traffic during the weekdays so this seems like the best time to make the change. If all goes well the process should take less than an hour, we'll backup the database and restore it to the new server (takes about 10 minutes), copy over any files that have changed recently, and then cut over the firewall ports and start the new service.

If all goes well the build server should see a benefit of running off of a SSD cache for the most commonly changed files, while still having tons of space for archives.

Things have sounded quiet of late since I've been spending a lot of time configuring the server, but there still is development happening behind-the-scenes.

Once this server upgrade is done, there's a few more UI changes I'd like to make to streamline the process of creating modlists with multiple profiles. And then I'd like to look at a browser-based CDN downloader sometime soon. Currently our CDN has some issues in some areas of the world, so implementing a JavaScript in-browser variant of our CDN downloader (and maybe uploader) should help provide a backup option for those struggling with the GUI app.

Thanks again for all the support and encouragement.
