HROT Episode 1 - CZ Meltdown (Patreon)

If you're looking for the Patreon discord link it's in this post, and all update posts, below me rambling about stuff. Why not do the integration? Because it's weird and buggy and I don't like to tie patreon discord membership to current patrons only. If you paid, you're in. 

Took a little longer to get this out than I'd planned. It's a short video, but Civvie did a dumb thing and upgraded all of his audio equipment (new mic, preamp and headphones) in an earnest attempt to increase the audio quality of these videos. I didn't realize that getting a better microphone and better headphones would lead to hearing significantly more noises and quality issues than I did in past videos. Because dumb. There are a couple areas where it's actually supposed to sound distant (the blood and fat can and the "katie will fix it" bits). 

Overall I think it was worth it and I'm glad I was testing all of this on a short video because I ended up doing the main voiceover three times. There are a couple issues here and there with voiceover not quite matching because of different recording times and environments but the voiceover sounds a lot cleaner than it used to on my years-old "XLR mic to stereo jack to USB adapter" hacked-together setup that I'd been using forever. It was time. 

Next video is Pro Wolf3D because why do anything in order? Looking forward to episode 2 of HROT even if I have some gripes with it. Shout out to all the Czech fans who have to sit through me explaining things they already knew about.
