Previous Updates, Upcoming Changes, DMCA notes (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

If you've been watching the site, I've been posting updates on the news area pretty frequently this year. But in the interest of keeping you looped in here, I'll be posting about some upcoming changes as well as previous changes.

First off, in April we had image quality updates go up alongside random fixes, a new mobile nav, etc. In June, I launched the tag updates with several additional bug fixes. I also redid the series page on mobile, making it easier to read for users. Lastly - I added "resources" to series which could be used to link to the official twitter profile, trailers, official sites, etc.  This was hidden due to recent DMCA issues.

Coming July \ August:

1. Form overhaul of all forms on the site, which will feel newer and *better* in general. 

2. Onboarding of several new power users, along with power users having their own tracking and accolades on the dashboard for their site contributions.

DMCA Issues

This one is tricky, as I wrote about on the main website. There is essentially no non-risky option for me to handle this, other than trying to bulldoze my way into being known by bigger names. It could be very likely that the site continually gets hit, because its obvious we're dealing with automated scanners here. That is why I removed the "Link & Resources" and also changed the page titles. I am open to suggestions.

The main way I am doing this right now is to try to land somewhere on the organic radar with the name of a main-line publisher (kadakowa, for instance) - as negative press is the most effective press. You'll see several updates to the main news site, including a theme change, optimizations, keyword updates, URL changes, and schema being added to try to accomplish this.
