In verse 2, the second lines ends with E7 for four beats. What is the (E7) on the third lines for in verse 2 ?????

Why the difference from the demo to the lesson when you play F vs bar chord F? Great lesson Rob.

It's hardly any difference in sound. The version I played in the demonstration was technically a F/C, meaning the C note was in the bass. It's all a matter of preference.

My musical tastes these days run more to folk and country, because I like to sing those songs, and I am learning guitar to give me more chances to sing. But as a boomer, I love classic rock, too - and somehow even though your guitar skills are light years ahead of mine, your teaching style makes me think I can do this! As far as requests, would love to see you teach us some John Prine.
