Hello friends,

I hope you all are having a very happy and musical fall. My wife Natalia and I have been enjoying our first halloween season with our 3 month old Adele, who has spent much of the last several days dressed as a strawberry 😂. Today I'm excited to announce a new collaboration between Soundslice, Hal Leonard Publishing, and Swiftlessons that will allow many of my most popular song tutorials to be featured on the innovative Soundslice platform!

These tutorials will be for sale in my Soundslice store, but as of now I am permitted to share them with you all, free of charge, via top-secret links. To kick off this new campaign, I gave chosen the John Denver classic "Take Me Home, Country Roads," for my first release.  Have fun! -Rob

How do I download this song sheet? How do I even find it?

swiftlessons

Hey David, at the bottom of the post there is a navigation tip. The video I linked there will explain how to better navigate the platform and locate specific resources. Thanks, enjoy your practice!

Hi David, you have to click on the link to Soundslice and then on the bottom right Settings (the tooth wheel), their in the middle click on Print. This will open a new page (if your browser settings allow this) cancel the print operation and now you can save the tab on your hard drive.

Does this change to Sondslice mean we need to pay for the videos we are now getting as part of our subscription?

Can not tell you how much I enjoyed this Lesson Sound Slice is fantastic

Hey John, one reason that I am working with Soundslice is to ensure that my Patrons can continue to enjoy my transcriptions, especially for songs that I am not able to secure print licenses for. Fortunately, video content is almost always covered by YouTube's comprehensive sync license. For this reason, I do not foresee a scenario in which you will lose access to that content.

Wow that's a tough one? How about ALL of them!

Rob, will the Soundslice allow the lyrics to the songs to be printed off on the same page as the music? Thanks Steve

swiftlessons

Hey Steven, yes, I believe so. Soundslice is very cool in that I can just upload my Guitar Pro files, and then sync the video to the tab. If I included lyrics in my Guitar Pro, then they should be there after printing from Soundslice. -Rob

That's the goal Ben. Featuring these songs on Soundslice requires special licensing, so I may need to pay a lawyer to obtain the rights to those that are not controlled by Hal Leonard. There's also a few songs that HL doesn't want anyone to feature, for reasons unknown to me.

Soundslice is a great teaching tool. I could still use a chord sheet with the words. I see one in the video. Can you please make it available?

swiftlessons

Hey Bob, here’s my other post containing a chord sheet for this song: https://www.patreon.com/posts/27909797

Seem I'm having issues printing the chord sheets or tab's which I really like. I cannot find away to print them, it's not and option for me.

Hello Rob, do you have a little more advanced version of this song with licks etc.? Thank you!

Dr. Pamela Chollet

You are awesome! I can't believe it. I played back in the day (and I mean THE DAY). Now, I have a 2 yr old grandson who LOVES Roy Orbison, Elvis, and Country Roads lol. It's been so long, I restrung my guitar and here I am. Thank you, you're making it a joy, I've missed playing.
