Hello friends,

As I'm sure you have noticed, I'm feeling a bit jazzy this week. My recent lesson on "Four Ways to Play a Jazz 2.5.1" reveals different chord voicings for the genres most common progression. To take you one step further, I've reached back into the Swiftlessons Archive and discovered techniques that build on what we've already learned!

In this tutorial, I'll take you through the 2.5.1.6 progression and classic bebop style lick. Let's get started!

Hey Rob, I just joined and thought there would be some jazz chord melody arrangements like on the youtube video I found you on. Am I missing something here?

Hi Rob, just wanted you to know that I’m really loving this Jazz! It’s great stuff! Buddy

More treasure in the attic, I see. Great to have a partner lesson for the one yesterday.

Thank you, Rob! It is great to see more Jazz here... as someone who is starting to study it I do appreciate this kind of videos a lot! I have the feeling that there is a great deal of resources for blues/rock players, but nearly nothing for Jazz fans in need of theory, chords progressions and soloing tricks!

Thanks Buddy, I have a few more planned and will also be updating some of my older lessons. Glad you're enjoying this stuff!

Absolutely Dawn, I have a bunch of old lessons that I'll be creating PDFs for. Keep on the look out!

I agree Javier, there's almost too many lessons on blues and rock, but that's to be expected. I'll do my best to keep featuring some of the more eclectic stuff. Expect a licks lesson and backing track video to be added soon!
