Hello friends,

and thank you so much for your continued support this month. Today I'm working on a number of projects including the lick of the week, featured artist interview, and this tutorial on Fingerpickin' the Blues. We'll begin this session by learning how a single dominant 7th shape can be used to perform a 12 bar blues in Emaj, then learn how to apply our travis style pickin' to that progression.

Intermediate-Advanced players can move on to section #3, which incorporates chord transitions, and a ragtime inspired turnaround. Let's get started! -Rob

Be still my heart! This lesson is awesome. So many eureka moments for me. When it's about the blues, I'm hooked and providing this finger-picking approach just enriches everything. The pdfs are priceless. At the risk of being redundant, thanks again!

Hey Dawn, I'm really happy that you're having those eureka moments, that means I'm doing my job. Please keep the friendly messages coming, as I've mentioned, these videos take a lot of time and energy to go from planning to completion, I need all the motivation I can get haha!

The quality of your lessons is extraordinary. The steps you take to develop and produce each one is clearly extensive and the pride you take in them obvious. It starts with your performances upfront, which become a student's goal as such. Then there are your step-by-step teaching segments which anticipate the watcher's questions and needs. What is so special is your calm and encouraging manner; it makes someone like me believe that, in time, I'll be able play better and more confidently. I hope you know how special you are.
