"Aww, that's cute!"

Sohee points to the paper hanging on the fridge, a pink star magnet displaying it proudly above all the other notes and reminders that Carida and her roommate have hung on its trusty door. It's a drawing done entirely in crayon, depicting Carida and the words "AWESOME" written above her head. It's signed "JO-JO, AGE 5".

Carida smiles as Sohee takes another look at the picture before opening the fridge. She turns to her phone and looks through the photos she took.

"So it was fun?"

"Oh, absolutely. Lexa's really a sweetheart when you get down to it. I should invite her over for dinner sometime."

"I'd love to meet her, yeah!" Sohee emerges from the fridge, victorious in her quest to find a snack. She tosses Carida a tangerine and begins peeling her own as she continues. "Mm, oh, so, what're you doing next weekend?"

Carida turns her phone over in her hands a couple times, smiling.

What am I doing next weekend...?
