August Monthly Update (Patreon)

Wow, August already… It's already been nearly a month since we announced Please Be Happy! In that time, we've been hard at work on PBH and more. Here's what we've got for you this week.

To start with, the script for PBH is officially over halfway written! There are a looooot of scenes in PBH, although many of them are on the short side. adi and I are aiming to have the full first draft completed by mid-September. It's gonna be close, but I'm sure we can do it! Artwise, we've sent off the writeup for the final CG from kobuta! There are a number of minrose CG's in addition to the kobu ones, so this will be the end of kobu's workload for PBH. It's been a real pleasure working with them - you should definitely give them a follow on Twitter or Pixiv!

Our other main focus, of course, has been Highway Blossoms: Next Exit. 

We're still waiting for a couple variants of a couple backgrounds, but once those are done, we'll be 100% finished with art! adi's been helping out with some of the scripting, and she and minute are doing an amazing job with it. There's a lot more expressions for the characters in the DLC compared to the original game, and they're all super fun.

There's a trailer in the works for NE, which will hopefully be complete in the next month or two!

Rachel's been making steady progress on the Lock and Key script, turning in a couple more scenes just this morning! We're looking forward to being able to post more LAK WIP's and previews in the near future, once there's more to show. There's also some pretty cool LAK news coming soon, but it's a bit too early to share that right now 👀

Finally, in terms of general news, shipping has started for the Spring 2020 merchandise, and hopefully everyone who ordered will have it soon if not already! Stickers and postcards will be shipping soon. We're also hoping to get production for the rest of the Heart of the Woods Kickstarter merchandise going soon.
