Oh yea, I was hoping going on a Superstition kick would get me back motivated to finish Amari's Milestone and here we are, the puppers is back. That close to being back on my normal schedule.

“I …” she shakes her head, but I grab her hand, refusing to let go.

“Amari, the whole point of coming to this gathering was for this moment. Go.”

“The last time I did this was when I was a child, and it was with //both// of my parents, and I was …”

“Hey,” I cradle her face, causing her to focus on me, “I get it. But you’re still a wolf. What a witch cursed you with isn’t your fault; it doesn’t take away from what you are. Transform and go.” Despite my words, her eyes fill with fear as she glances at all those still shifting, getting ready for the leader to commence the run.

“Don’t worry about them. I know this entire trip was about whether or not they’ll accept you, but this isn’t even about them. It’s for you. It’s to remind yourself that at the end of the day, no matter what extra blood is running through you, you’re still a wolf.” She is silent for a moment longer before her eyes glisten with newfound hope.

“Run with me?”
