Classification: Reptilian

Place of Origin: Devocury, Draconis System

Native Language: Viesean

Vetix generally stand around 5’6 through 6’0 fee and are all quite muscular. Their bodies are made up of both soft reptilian-like scales and far harder chitin material that cover their sides, back, and the upper part of their heads. Whereas their body can exist in colors of orange, tan, brown, and black, their chitin markings are always dark grey, brown, or black. These markings have three different styles which differ depending on one's race. They are a mostly a monomorphic species with only head crests giving any visible sign of a difference between genders. Females head crests lie closer to the cranium and do not travel as far as the male.

They have four fingers with sharp claws on the end of each and two toes. Their legs have a noticeable bend at the knees and on the back of each calf are two upturned, thick spikes. Similar curved spikes can also be found on their elbows and existing in threes. They have thick nails with three slits on both sides that help with temperature regulation.

Vetix have unique eyes that set them apart from both predator and prey animals. Their four eyes give them a greater field of vision that is unmatched by any other. The upper two eyes are smaller but set wider apart on the head, giving them an almost 360 degree vision, similar to a lot of prey animals. While this then sets up a blind spot for many, the lower two eyes on the Vetix eliminate this, making their only blind spot the space right behind them. They hold no visible pupils but do in fact possess them, it is simply the same color as their sclera which holds a few light gray speckles. Their scleras are always a purple, blue, green, or pink color while one race, the Vranok, will always possess gray eyes.

Though their other senses are nowhere near lacking, the one sense that the vetix are known best for is their sight. Vetix have exceptional sight that becomes even more so in the absence of light. While many species have multiple ways of portraying their emotions, vetix mainly show theirs through their eyes. When portraying moods that the individual perceive as negative, their eye color will lose saturation while positive emotions will find the saturation growing. They are also able to share visual memories with others through the use of their eyes.
