I know Absalom said he was modified by Hogback for his physical buffs and I thought his appearance was just part of that and that he was just a straight a human. I honestly don't know though. Sidenote: This one of my favorite Franky cuts. Bruh's lookin fresh out here

Also, about the shandian wings you guys should look up the short story of what Enel finds in the moon. It's very short and will explain a lot + blow your mind. It's also looking like it might be important later on in the story

Great reaction and discussion as always. But about the Shandians: they had wings even in the Noland/Calgara flashback when they were still living in Jaya 400 years ago. So it‘s not like they suddenly got wings or some like that. There is an interesting Canon Cover Story about what happened to Enel after he lost to Luffy and went to the the moon that kinda explains more about that. I would really like to see your reaction to that Cover Story tbh.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but humans and dolphins are supposedly some of the only creatures on earth that have sex for pleasure. Most things just do it for procreation. So just like Wanda said that they don’t have any concept of race, to them, humans are just a different kind of mink, they probably don’t really have any concept of sexuality or sexual identity either. Take Wanda for example. Dogs are pack animals. They sleep nestled together for warmth and live longer, happier lives in groups because they’re very social, but not because of anything sexual. Same concept most likely Then again, there are also bonobo monkeys, who use massive society-wide incessant orgies as a basis for communication. So there’s always that 🤷🏿‍♂️

With all the stitches on Absalom's body, I feel like he's just different parts of animals put together on a human frame (when this arc came out, I thought maybe even Minks if Hogback or Moria got ahold of some). That's what I've always thought anyways.

Most of the cover stories are definitely important, they explain a lot of different details we don't see explanations for in the anime itself (including what you pointed out about Enel and the moon "fairy vearth", I also think it'll be important later)
