If I understand correctly, King Sweyn was the King of Denmark who conquered England (10 years) and became King of Denmark and England. After his death, since Harald was already in Denmark, he became the King of Denmark, and Canute assumed the crown for England, however, Ethelred II, the former King of England returned causing a war for the throne. After his death and Edmund's, Canute is the King of England. Harald is still the King of Denmark.

Canutes threat is underrated... He posted up a bunch of man power to chop hella trees and stack them on top of each other just to burn them in about 18 + different areas in a piece of country...we didn't have machines back then....but did this take a day or two or what lol I would have been scared too as lord of Mercia
