Wow, Denver just decriminalized consumption, possession and growth of psychedelic mushrooms!  I really wasn't sure which way that vote would go but kind of expected it to get shot down.  The backers must have put a lot of effort into educating the voting public on this matter.  Even more impressive considering both the mayor and his opponent opposed the measure, and it was only due to last minute voting that it passed.  This is truly a new era for psychedelics, I hope Denver doesn't end up screwing things up for everyone ;).

I continue to work on related new projects including a mushroom cultivation video (all video has been recorded, its just in editing now), and I'm designing an app to help people benefit the most from psychedelics as well as to carry out important research.  I am very excited about these new initiatives.  Thanks again to everyone for your support, it is a major motivation to me.

Denver Passes Historic Psychedelic Mushroom Decriminalization Initiative

Denver just made history. Today, May 8, the city became the first in the country to decriminalize psilocybin. Unofficial election results show a slight majority of voters approved I-301, which decriminalizes consumption, possession and growth of psychedelic mushrooms. The final returns, which will remain unofficial until certification next week, show that 50.56 percent of voters, or 89,320 people, approved the initiative.

I was so happy when that passed. It is a very small step in the right direction, but at least it is a first step. Adults being told what they can and can’t do with the their lives and consciousness is ridiculous and needs to change. Hopefully more research that is allowed now will make those changes happen quickly.
