Game progress:
- Coded James' chapter 9
- Fixed an audio bug in Neil's side story
- Added a winged and Peter Pan collar to the game
- Coded in a new choice selection scene (specifically for James' chapter 12)
Art progress:
- Finished Nornus' sprite
- Sketched out some more concepts for Aiden's outfits
- Drew Caine's promotional image
Script progress:
- Finished writing James' chapter 13
- Plotted out some more of Aiden's story
- Wrote a little for Caine's side story
February has been quite slow for me! With my birthday (I'm officially 30!) on the 11th, and overall just generally taking a break to relax since last month was kinda hectic. I had to recharge and make sure I don't burn out! :)
I will have to warn you that in the upcoming future, there might only be a single chapter release instead of the usual 2. Why? James' chapters are becoming longer and longer - chapter 12 is 10k words alone, which is nearly 3 chapters worth of content. Basically, you're still getting the same amount of content - but it's not spread across 2 chapters anymore!
That said, we've probably hit the halfway mark for James' script! Chapters set on Yool are all exceedingly long due to the world building, though the second half of the route should go back to the usual length for each chapter (though I doubt anyone is complaining the chapters are long).
My programmer also coded in a way for a new choice selection (that isn't fierce/kind). This will specifically be used in James' chapter 12, as Patreons voted they wanted to be able to choose who to give their ornament to.
Caine's imminent release on Itch & Steam
I'm also working on releasing Caine's route on Itch & Steam, so this will slow down progress a bit. It's always a mess uploading something on Steam.
