Being at fault and being responsible are two different things. Karen is at fault for her own death, but Loke is still responsible. She's the one who chose to use her powers after being warned not to. But Loke, whose sole purpose is to serve a celestial wizard and keep them safe, took matters into his own hands and stayed in the real world for 3 months without checking on her ONCE (which is wild). Let's say that she hadn't forced another spirit out of the gate on a job, she still could've been attacked by a random enemy. How would she defend herself? The least he could've done was watch her from afar, make sure that things don't turn for the worse, but he didn't. Also, had he told the Spirit King about Karen's problematic behavior, I'm sure he would've gotten what he wanted. Aries and Leo are probably not the first spirits to have been mistreated. Imagine if all spirits do what Loke did, many celestial wizards will end up dead. Hence, he was punished for taking matters into his own hands and ultimately not keeping his master safe as he should have done. If I was Loke, I would feel bad. But I do agree that the Spirit King must protect his spirits from people like Karen, so the situation was kinda unfair.

Honestly it's a tough situation cause Karen put herself in harms way knowing that she couldn't use other spirits while Loke was out but Loke did make her vulnerable by not only preventing her from using other spirits but also by not giving her any means to defend herself or like you said look after her. Even so for this situation Karen was mostly responsible because she was aware of her inability to fight without spirits but she tried to do quests either way.

These episodes were amazing, next arc is gonna be lit. The VA who voiced Karen is also Robin's dub VA from One piece knew she sounded familiar. If I had to choose between Lucy and Erza it's definitely Erza for me

Loke did what he had to do, he was 100% in the right. She was a horrible fucking person, downright biggot. The spirits aren't contracted to be abused. Loke even said that the whole sprit world is terrified of Karen picking up their key. She's an abuser, she lies and acts nice and sweet to get you to sign your contract, then she turns and shows her real side and abuses you. Someone HAD to stop her, to make her listen and change. She decided to not change and stay a horrible person, so she got what she deserved. She ignored her guild master's warnings, she deserved it. W Loke, he's a hero and did what had to be done. You're completely wrong.

Since rttv was arguing about whether they would feel guilty or not.. loke felt guilty because of the reason I posted about. His job was to protect her. He refused to do so. She died. The argument at the beginning is hilarious 😂 it aint a bartenders job to give moral advice and guidance, but yeah a bartender might do that to try and keep you at the bar buying drinks/because theyre good people, but it aint the job :p and at this point, Mira is a current/former (dont remember if she technically holds the title atm) S class wizard of Fairy Tail who works as a bar hand/guild masters assistant.
