Magic in the fairy tail world is similar to the sharingan and it being “eyes that reflect the heart” if you feel strongly about someone or something your magic will be more powerful. Just like how the sharingan reflects on the emptiness one feels at the loss of a loved one. Its not the best writing but It makes sense.

Watching them talk abt fairy tail makes me appreciate just how well structured and planned out the plot was for a series of this kind; even if the power of friendship is corny this show just has a special vibe. Kinda like the early morning cartoon of anime.

Nothing about this series is structured or planned out were you watching with your eyes closed? Every plot / fight literally is just the author writing the first thing that comes up in his mind without and foreshadowing. Jerry missed an important thing to hint to the other members. Lucy’s mom died on X777 (on her grave) which is the same date Natsu & Gajeel said their dragons disappeared. I always give credit where it’s due, that’s some decent foreshadowing there.

I don't know where what you watch but saying there is no foreshadowing in Fairytail is like saying there is no sand in the desert. They litteraly foreshadowed Juvia in episode 3 and that's one of the smallest foreshadow there is.
