Fire reaction guys, was shocked you posted this, I wasn’t expecting it for a few more hours. I just want to say something in regards to Makarov, something that might help understanding his character. He’s a protector, he loves his guild/family and that unfortunately blindsides him and has him going into situations without thinking. Something else to point out is he is an old man, and when you remove his magic from the equation you realise only an old man remains. And lastly he sees the good in people which you’ll come to learn the more you watch, therefore he doesn’t see people could use dirty tricks. Obviously a massive weakness for sure but a very human 1.

ExrialHD that's definitely inaccurate, There literally debates is Natsu even the main character rather whole guild because sides characters have way more character development and involvement then most shounen. Fairy tail is very collective focus.

Statement still stands that was said by them themselves, “with preparation you can defeat anyone.” Which is exactly what Jose did/planned since the beginning of them attacking at first. He knew makarov would react and pull up. Had big homie wizard invisible waiting behind him to take away makarov magic power temporarily. So no difference at all.

Lucy is the MC. She is the one who’s life suddenly changed at the beginning of a story (which is a clear sign of an MC) But she’s also the narrator of the story where she tells the story based on Natsu, which would make him the MC.
