I personal enjoy takemichi a lot more than a lot of other new gen anime’s mc. I think I’d only take a few over him but he’s in my top 5 fasho.

I can't lie I said before that Takemichi and Subaru was around the same level but after watching this episode I was definitely wrong. Even Subaru would try to trust someone like Kisaki after all he's done.

Pat's mindset is so simple minded its baffling when it comes to this anime lol acting like everytime he goes to the past, he has a complete blueprint of what happened that led up to hina dying. he LITERALLY has no recollection of what happens in the 12yr gap between the past and the future. he has to try and guess what events transpired and assume what decision was made the first time that way he can make a different one in hopes that changes the future. Pats logic would make alot more since in ReZero.

bro this show really brings out some aggressive discussions lmao I love Takemichi as a MC at the end of the day, he ain't perfect but he's got some amazing character development and amazingly inspirational moments imo

Pat and rob were correct in Taijus craxy state of mind hes crying because of the attachment of his sister it’s crazy and tapped to think that way but that’s his source of sorrow he shouldn’t be but it makes psychological sense it just adds up just like taka he shouldn’t be crying he knows what happens and he knows what his goal is he’s seen ppl die over n over and he knows there’s jus some things that are inevitable after a while you have to step up and stop crying n be solution oriented rather than going with emotions that’s why I don’t like takemitchy like he’s cool bc he’s different but he’s still dumb and naive especially for a 26 yr he’s goin in the past with real children who are smarter tougher and more emotionally stable than he is who’s gon through mad shit and don’t have a redo button like cmon Joel’s argument on that is dumb crying is fine but when it gets to the point when it interferes with your goals and makes you misjudge it’s time to man up

Takemitchi is one of the greatest main characters of all time and it will be common sense one day. There’s a reason why the greats Mikey, Draken, Chifuyu etc. all respect him so much, and it’s because that kid Takemitchi despite being weak af will NEVER give up and will always push through even in situations where 99.999% of people would completely give up. I have nothing but respect to our crybaby hero

Takemichi crying has actually helped him gain respect of everyone they make fun of him for crying but he’s brave enough to be in those situations crying or not takemitchi is weak nothing gon change that, Mikey made him captain cause he reminds him of his brother for being brave even tho not the strongest, at no point in the series has crying distracted him from his mission if anything after he’s done crying he actually gains more resolve to try harder, people act like takimichi gets weakened by crying he is not a OP Main character

I feel like you completely misunderstood what I said. The reason I said it would make more since in ReZero is because Subaru can literally see an entire situation play out and if it’s bad, he can die and start fresh. Also, there situations are entirely different, I’m literally only comparing there power. Takemitchy on the other hand (also he wasn’t really given basic instruction, this time he went back with the knowledge that hakkai kills taiju which wasn’t even true, and if you are saying he should be okay with just the instruction of “don’t let hakkai kill his brother” then that’s just ridiculous ) he literally has 1 chance to figure shit out since he can only travel 12yrs from that exact date. I haven’t read the manga so if that changes then cool. Him being pathetic isn’t what I’m arguing I’m saying that pats mindset is so small minded when it comes to this specific anime because he thinks that since takemitchy has the ability to go back in time he shouldn’t be crying because that’s a “simple solution” which is fucking retarted.

Him and Rob are just saying shit without fully understanding Takemichi circumstances. They seem to think it's simple for him to go back and change the future but no one is giving him the solution to do it, he has to figure stuff out whenever the timeline changes and like you said that 12 year gap that he can't recall is a big downside. With Subaru he can fuck up but the next time he tries he actually knows what's going to happen next. Takemichi can't afford to mess up in the past. Either way I'm glad Jerry, Evan and Wellz understand the situation he's in.
