Lol y'all are really generous to Twilight by saying that both these series are on par. Story wise, Hunger Games is way beyond the Twilight franchise.

What I love about this movie is the parallels and the Foreshadowing, like in the beginning of the movie Katniss and Gale had an argument about how to fight the war and Katniss was afraid that Gale was thinking too much like the enemy because of his rage, and Gale was perfectly fine with using the bombs on civilians just because they came from the capitol, and in the end Gale helped make the bombs that killed her sister. Also the books goes into more detail, but Peeta never fully recovers from the Hijacking, even after they have kids, the books talks about how there are times where he has to clutch onto a kitchen table chair until the episode passes and that Katniss and his kids have to help him through it, which I loved because it's a permanent reminder of the hell they went through, and it's not just easily fixed. At first when I read it, I didn't like Snow's death, I felt like Katniss had earned the right to kill him, but I grew to appreciate that it was a stampede of people, which is more fitting. Overall great Series of movies, and I highly recommend reading the books because they are sooo good.

Robbie I KNOW you didn’t just compare this masterpiece to Twilight??? I lowkey don’t even want you to react to Harry Potter bc of that now smh, Twilight’s storyline was cringe and just for teenaged girls. Hunger Games is for everyone with little to no plot holes or cringe moments.

2023-04-15 20:53:14 i really fell in love watching this series ago, i liked it before but i was younger so seeing everything again nah makes me see how great this story is and Katniss's and everyone's endurance through it all plus the world is so intricate and how they told everything was beautiful. this was great. Also i thought it was great symbolism with snow literally going out with the "last laugh" and also wrapping up the end of these "games" with katniss and the hunger games

I really love how we ended with Katniss and Peeta's children because in the first movie, Katniss said she would never have kids because they would be reaped for the Hunger games. Now she can have them without fearing that she brought kids into a terrible world.
